Using a Mobile Phone Whilst Driving Awareness Survey

23/01/2017

Good afternoon,

This morning we have launched a survey to capture everyone’s views and opinions regarding the legislation changes around using a mobile phone whilst driving. We want to gauge awareness of the law change and the data collected will help plan future campaigns. We would really appreciate you filling in the survey and sharing it on social media.

The government is changing the Fixed Penalty Notice and penalty points for the use of a hand-held mobile phone whilst driving. The new legislation will come into effect on the 1st of March 2017. Under the new government rules drivers will receive six points on their licence and face a £200 fine.

The survey is anonymous, all answers will be held in confidence and it should take approximately 2 minutes. The survey can be accessed here:

Please can you circulate the survey to members of the public, any partner organisations that you work with and on social media. We have tweeted the survey and would appreciate as many retweets as possible so the survey reaches a wide audience. The tweet can be viewed here:

The survey will run for approximately two weeks.

Thank you and Kind Regards,
